Taking Joseph Cheaney's boutique store concept, one step further
Objective: Elevate the brand's retail concept for one of the most revered luxury shopping streets in the world.
Joseph Cheaney is a brand that epitomises ‘Made in England’. Following a long-standing design partnership, creating award-winning retail identities in Coal Drops Yard, Jermyn Street and Covent Garden - we took their retail concept one step further for their most illustrious boutique store to date; New Bond Street.
Launching in such an eponymous location, Joseph Cheaney’s luxury boutique store design offers an elevated interpretation of their now synonymous, retail identity. Contrasting the design language of craftsmanship and the theatre of their factory, with those of high-end luxury and refined modernity. Throughout, a series of sophisticated design elements purposefully draw in the abundance of natural light from the fully glazed elevations and echo this through strategically placed mirrors on the back wall and light boxes in the perimeter; creating drama and depth.
Proudly displaying their footwear expertise, our boutique store design reflects the brand’s commitment to authenticity and excellence. A gallery-like display features intricate details inspired by the brand’s meticulously crafted footwear and emphasises that Cheaney makes what it sells. While a shoe polishing station sits center stage, adding a level of intrigue and theatre to passers-by. A testament to the brand’s enduring relevance, this store is set to be the brand’s preeminent retail boutique. A space where heritage meets modernity, inviting customers to immerse themselves in the craft and quality that sets Joseph Cheaney apart.
“Our goal is to bring the theatre of the factory in-store, allowing customers to discover our handcrafted footwear in a contemporary space.”
William Church, Joint Managing Director
